We stumbled across the dilapidated ruin in 2007, when nothing more than crumbling walls, standing amidst a field of mud existed and set about to plan it’s restoration in order to  bring the ruin back to life. 
The house was originally built in 1843 by  a wealthy  family in the best spot of Levidi at the top of the hill. After  40 s, because of the war,  it was abandoned due to the tough times that led many people from the village to immigration. This old family owns even today some of the most beautiful houses in the top of the hill.

Feeling it needed to be shared, we embarked on the long and ever evolving journey to create an intimate boutique-style hotel and have spent 4 years converting it to a beautiful 4* boutique hotel.

To restore the estate to its former glory, local craftsmen worked with artisans from around Greece.
With a lot of antique furniture and architectural details sourced from Greece and abroad , plants from Peloponnese, and years of work, the essence of VILLA VAGER grew into the elegant and welcoming place we dreamed it would be.
